‘Coco’ Has Become the Number One Release of All Time in Mexico

Disney Pixar’s Coco made a huge debut over Thanksgiving, opening at number one domestically with $72.9 million over the five-day holiday weekend. In addition, Coco has already made history in Mexico as the number one release of all time in local currency, earning over 1 billion pesos. Coco has also earned an A+ CinemaScore and is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 96%.

In addition to the success in Mexico and it’s domestic debut (U.S.), Coco has begun it’s international expansion with a cool $18.2 million opening weekend in China to become the Walt Disney Studios second-largest animated opening ever only behind Zootopia. Worldwide, Coco has accumulated $155.2 million through November 26, 2017. Coco opens internationally next week to France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Thailand, Panama and Peru.
