Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Panel at D23 Expo Japan 2018 Recap

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek just revealed huge new updates coming to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts around the world at the D23 Expo Japan 2018.

Disneyland Paris

At Walt Disney Studios Park, the popular Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction will be reimagined as a high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure where guests can team up with Iron Man and the Avengers.

Also released was new concept art of what the rooms will look like at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Hong Kong Disneyland

A second Marvel attraction is coming to Hong Kong Disneyland! In addition to the already announced Marvel-themed area coming to the park, a new attraction is also set to debut where you’ll be able to team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm bots.

Continuing with the Marvel theme, new details were revealed about the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction coming to Epcot. When it opens, it will feature a brand-new innovative ride system—and will be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world!

Announced at D23 Expo 2017 was a new Star Wars luxury hotel. Chapek revealed new details about this resort in Japan. The journey through space will begin as you board a star ship and depart with your fellow guests on a multi-day Star Wars adventure that will be connected to the new land being built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Also released was a new piece of concept art from Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disneyland

Over at Disney California Adventure Park, Pixar Pier will open June 23 and will include the highly anticipated Incredicoaster and will feature a new attraction inspired by Inside Out.

Additionally, a new Incredibles themed parade float will join Pain the NIght when it debuts at DCA this summer.
